PLEASE NOTE: The annual UTC C. S. Lewis Lecture for 2008 will be held on 31 March. The speaker will be Timothy George. We'll post more information on the lecture as soon as it is available.

2007 Meeting Schedule
19 January: Continued discussion of The Weight of Glory.
16 February: Discussion of The Weight of Glory, "Why I Am Not a Pacifist", and "Transposition".
16 March: Discussion of "Transposition" - we didn't get to it last time!
20 April: We will continue our introduction to the addresses found in the book The Weight of Glory, starting with "Is Theology Poetry?" Our plan for this book is to provide those attending with an overview of the flow of Lewis' arguments so that they may afterwards be able to read them with understanding. Thus, there is no need to read ahead of time; though it would still be helpful.
18 May: We will conclude our study of The Weight of Glory.
No June meeting
20 July: We will view the lovely program from Duncan Entertainment entitled The Magic Never Ends, which is on the life of C. S. Lewis. To learn more about the program and read transcripts of interviews with our friend Lyle Dorsett, Douglas Gresham, and Debra Winger, visit this website: http://www.duncanentertainment.com/movie_lewis.php . After viewing the program, we will discuss what we have learned. We also plan to have copies of Joy Davidman’s works for you to look through and a drawing for a copy of Lewis' autobiography.
17 August: We will begin our study of Miracles by Lewis.
21 September: We are studying Lewis' book Miracles through the autumn months. In Sept., we will continue our discussion beginning with chapter 4.
19 October: Continued discussion of Miracles.
16 November: We will finish our discussion of Miracles.
21 December: Our annual "White-Witch-Defying Christmas Party."

Meetings:
We normally meet the third Friday of every month, 7:00 - 9:00 p.m., for discussion. If someone has not read the book we are currently reading, they are still welcome to attend. We foresee also having special lectures and other events in the future. The current meeting location is the house of the Vicar in St. Elmo.
